International Nowruz Day 2023: 21 March 2023

 

Nowruz, also known as Persian New Year, is an ancient festival that has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran and Central Asia. The word "Nowruz" means "new day" in Persian, and it marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which usually falls on March 21st or 22nd.

5Gifting: Giving gifts, especially to children, is a common tradition during Nowruz. The gifts are usually in the form of money or sweets.

·         Sports: Many people participate in traditional sports and games during Nowruz, such as wrestling, horse racing, and tug-of-war. These activities promote physical fitness and community spirit.
